We empower differently-abled individuals in Manipur, providing rehabilitation, education, and livelihood support, while raising awareness to foster inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunities.

The Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur, established in 2013 and founded by M. Premier Singh, is a dedicated non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) across Manipur. Registered under the Manipur Societies Act 1989 and recognized under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016, the Centre works tirelessly to promote the rights, dignity, and holistic development of differently-abled individuals. Our mission is to provide accessible rehabilitation services, medical aid, assistive devices, inclusive education, livelihood opportunities, and community-based support. Through awareness campaigns, advocacy, and collaboration with government and civil society organizations, we strive to create an inclusive society where every person, regardless of ability, can lead a dignified and independent life.

Free Medical Camp

A Free Medical Camp was successfully organized on 13th June 2026 at the Community Hall, Kamuchingjil Takhel, Imphal East District, Manipur, located approximately 30 kilometres from Imphal. The programme was organized by the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur under the supervision and support of the National Foundation for India (NFI). The primary objective of the programme was to provide accessible healthcare services to the local community and to promote awareness on preventive healthcare and healthy living practices.

Orientation Programme for Capacity Building

Smt. Angom Thampasana, District Social Welfare Officer, Imphal West delivering her keynote address during the Orientation Programme on Capacity Building for ASHA Workers, Anganwadi Workers, and Local Meira Paibis on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and other Government Beneficial Schemes. The programme was organized by the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur under the Bandhutva CSO Resilience Programme with the support and supervision of the National Foundation for India (NFI) on 17 May 2026 at Khagempalli Community, Imphal. She emphasized the importance of inclusive development, strengthening grassroots awareness, and ensuring that persons with disabilities receive timely access to government welfare schemes and rehabilitation services through coordinated efforts of frontline workers and community stakeholders.

144th Birth Anniversary of Helen Adams Keller

The Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur observed the 144th Birth Anniversary of Helen Adams Keller at Sagolband Tera Bazar. The event was conducted in a simple and respectful ceremony to honor the life and legacy of Helen Keller, a symbol of courage and determination for differently abled individuals worldwide.
During the observance, floral tributes and homage were offered to the portrait of Helen Adams Keller. The ceremony was led by the Founder and Media Advisor of the Centre, Shri Nimol Ningombam, along with other dignitaries, staff, and attendees.
The event served as a reminder of Helen Keller’s enduring contributions toward the empowerment and education of persons with disabilities and inspired participants to continue working toward inclusion and equal opportunities for all.
